My friend Lucinda struggled with her MLM business
I knew I could help my good friend Lucinda with her struggling MLM business, you know, one of those that sells cooking supplies.
Even if the company gives her generic photos for her use (maybe?) I knew that if she could get some photos of herself doing her thing that would be like 100xs better!
So we prepped
We picked a day to host her event in my kitchen and invited a few friends to help us get some good photos.
Then we picked our recipes, bought our groceries, and prepped.
My past photography students Laura & Valynda came. I guess we lured them with free appetizers! Nah, really they are always so dependable and supportive.
We leveraged Facebook Live
Lucinda knew she needed to do it but she was nervous.
Taking the plunge to do a Facebook Live was nerve racking to her. But you know things are easier when you have a friend in your corner.
So I held her cell phone for her and she actually did three of them! We a live comment! Hey it's a start!
Wouldn't you agree that these photos will be invaluably useful to Lucinda?
She can post them to her facebook page or her MLM website (which was taken away from her when she didn't meet her quota, that stinks!)
These are going to convert better than any generic photo would, or any of the DIY handheld (with one hand!) cell phone videos that she had been using.
Friends don't let friends have sucky branding
I wish I could help all my friends with their personal brand images, but I can't. Many of them have side hustles that I know could really explode if they invested in my photography.
The reason why I really wanted to help Lucinda is because she's always been one of my evangelists.
She isn't necessarily my ideal photography client right now but she's always in my corner.
Most of my other friends don't take my photography business seriously but she does and I love her for it.
So I was glad to help. I want to do two more of these events for her. One in about 4 weeks, and one in about 8 weeks. I'm so excited to see what these photos will do for her!
I even gave her some tips about when to post these to social media, and what to say in her post captions.
